Global Startup EXPO 2026 is a major international startup and deeptech event taking place in Osaka from October 5–7, 2026. Hosted in the Umekita area, with main venues at Knowledge Capital Congrès Convention Center in Grand Front Osaka and Congrès Square Grand Green Osaka, the event is positioned as a platform for connecting technological breakthroughs with real industrial deployment.

The core message of GSE2026 is that the next phase of deeptech is not only about developing new technologies, but about turning them into industry. The event aims to bring together leading startups, investors, large corporations, public-sector actors, and ecosystem leaders from Japan and abroad in a high-density environment for collaboration, investment, and business creation.

Global Startup EXPO 2026 builds on the momentum created by Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Its ambition is to transform that global attention into concrete execution: new partnerships, investment opportunities, and pathways for startups to scale through collaboration with industry.

The event is organized by the Global Startup EXPO 2026 Executive Committee, whose member organizations include the governments of Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Osaka City, Kyoto City, Kobe City, KANKEIREN, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kansai Association of Corporate Executives, Osaka Business Development Agency, Kansai Innovation Initiative, and Urban Innovation Institute. It is also co-organized by national and regional institutions including METI, the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, JETRO, and NEDO.
